LaunchVPN Privacy Policy
What data the LaunchVPN app for Android and iOS collects, why, and how to delete it. Questions go to support in Telegram.
Subscription
When updating a subscription, the app sends our panel a device identifier (HWID), the operating system and its version, the device model and the app version. The panel uses them to count the devices on the subscription and list them under Devices. A device is kept until you remove it from the list.
Connection
While the VPN is on, your traffic goes through our servers. The app does not record which sites you open. The panel counts traffic volume to apply the subscription's limits.
Account
An account is optional. If you sign in, the server keeps:
- your email and a hash of your password;
- your Telegram ID, name and username, if Telegram is linked;
- the language for emails and the devices you signed in from;
- your subscription and payments, and for automatic renewal the last four digits of the card.
So that the trial is given once, the server keeps pseudonymized marks of who got it. They stay after the account is deleted.
Deleting your account
Account → Delete account. The subscription is lost, and deletion cannot be undone. If there were no payments, we delete everything except the trial marks. If there were, we delete access and keep the user record with the Telegram ID and payment history for accounting.
Crash reports
On a crash, the app sends a report to Sentry: the error, the place in the code, the app version, device details and a random installation identifier. The app removes links, IP addresses, email addresses and the device identifier before sending, and Sentry does not store your IP address. Reports are kept in Germany for 90 days. To turn sending off: Settings → Crash reports.
On the device
App settings and loaded subscriptions are stored on the device, and the app sends them nowhere. In Apps mode on Android, the app reads the list of installed apps, and the list never leaves the device. The app has no analytics or ads.
Other requests
The app contacts GitHub for updates, and Google and Cloudflare to check the servers. These requests carry no personal data.
Your rights
To get a copy of your data, correct or delete it, write to support. A new version of the policy will appear on this page with a new date.
